Badminton at e9win – Everything You Need to Know
If there's one sport that truly unites Malaysians, it's badminton. From the era of Razif Sidek and Jalani Sidek, through the glorious and nerve-wracking years of Lee Chong Wei, to the new generation of Lee Zii Jia and Aaron Chia – badminton is woven into the very fabric of Malaysian identity. That's why e9win dedicates more depth and attention to badminton coverage than any other sport.
Lee Zii Jia – Malaysia's New Hope on the World Stage
In recent years, Lee Zii Jia has become the most talked-about name in Malaysian badminton. His aggressive playing style, devastating smashes, and ability to deliver under pressure make him one of the most exciting players to watch – and naturally, one of the most compelling to bet on.
At e9win, markets for Lee Zii Jia matches are consistently among the most active in the badminton section. During his appearances at the Malaysia Open, our in-play markets reflect highly responsive odds movements that track the momentum of every set. Players watching the match live via e9win's streaming feature can capitalise on these shifts with a well-timed betting strategy.

Malaysian Men's Doubles – Aaron & Wooi Yik Carry the Nation's Hopes
After the decorated international run of the Koo/Tan pairing, Malaysia now looks to Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik to carry on the nation's men's doubles legacy. The pair has put in consistently strong performances on the BWF Super Series circuit, and their matches always deliver the kind of fierce competition that makes in-play betting genuinely exciting.
E9win offers highly detailed markets for doubles matches – including set handicap, total sets, and first set winner. For badminton fans who understand the nuances of doubles play, this opens up betting opportunities that simply aren't available on other platforms where badminton coverage is still limited.
Thomas Cup & Uber Cup – The Most Emotionally Charged Bets
For many Malaysian badminton fans, nothing is more emotionally charged than team events like the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup. These are moments where every player carries more than just their own ambitions – they represent the nation. That extraordinary pressure often produces unexpected results, and that's exactly what makes team event markets so compelling from a betting perspective.
At e9win, Thomas Cup markets cover the overall series result (e.g. Malaysia wins 3-1), the winner of each singles and doubles rubber, and outright odds for Malaysia to lift the trophy. All of this is available on one platform, with an interface that's easy to navigate even for first-time sports bettors on e9win.
Tips for Smarter Badminton Betting
Badminton betting has its own distinct characteristics that set it apart from other sports. Unlike football where draws are common, badminton almost always produces a clear winner. This makes handicap and over/under markets particularly relevant as a way to find better value beyond simply betting on the match winner.
A few things that can help you make sharper betting decisions: first, study the head-to-head record between the two players. Some players have a heavily lopsided record against each other even when their rankings are close. Second, keep an eye on the tournament schedule – a player who has just come through several tough matches may be carrying fatigue into the next round. Third, watch how each player performs in a deciding set when a match is tight – some players are mentally very strong under pressure, while others tend to waver.
